Healing Techniques for Trauma and Chronic Pain

Led by Juanita Martin and Nancy Candea

This 12 hour cec (Yoga Alliance) course is for energy/bodyworkers and teachers who want to sensitively address trauma issues with their clients. As yoga/energy/bodyworkers, we know that the chronic discomfort that our clients feel in their bodies and emotions manifests as anxiety, depression and pain, can often be traced back to trauma. As healers, we want to do our best not to trigger our clients, but to engage our clients in deep healing. This heart-centered training will bring the science and best practices for deep healing work in our community.   A certificate will be given to those who come to all the contact hours and complete their written assignment. Space is limited to 16 participants. Sign-up on the YogaImpact.org website

Juanita's Bio

“It’s important to me that each visit, my clients release the stress they’ve been carrying, and that I share some tools that they can use at home to continue the process.”

A 23-year veteran of a mainstream non-profit organization, Juanita has always known that her path in life included helping others.  In 2016, Juanita left a career with The Rockefeller Foundation behind and decided to only do what she loved, which is helping people through her energetic healing practice.

In 2004 Martin completed her two-year training as a Reiki Master/Teacher.  Juanita went on to study Health Administration at New York University as a means of integrating traditional and alternative healthcare seamlessly, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health, Arts and Science at Goddard College. In addition, Juanita pursued certification in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) at EFT Universe, based in Europe.  A few years later, she added a couple of energetic healing modalities (Vibrational Sound Therapy and Crystal Healing) to her energetic healing practice. Juanita uses hand-crafted Himalayan brass bowls directly on her client’s bodies to dissipate stress on a neuro-level which leads to intensive relaxation and therefore allows the body and mind to operate more efficiently.

Juanita’s healing method combines intuition with Reiki mastery, crystal healing and clearing with tuning, as well as healing with Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST).  Juanita is astute at listening and receiving indications of energy blocks and lapses in her client’s energy fields, and lovingly shares this information for her client’s well-being.

She currently practices in New Jersey and conducts certified trainings, lectures, presentations, hands-on treatments anywhere she is needed.  Juanita enjoys traveling and looks forward to sharing her heart centered practice.
